The marketing copy does not tell you that the item is designed for Eastern carpenter bees. The instructions that came with it include that important limitation. I live in Northern California, and I placed it as instructed...no bees.

Took forever to arrive, for which USPS was to blame, then it did not work. The bees pass it by and do not get trapped
